Voyeurism sells. And these banners prove that by revealing what Match.com members are doing in the privacy of their homes. The web cam video banners feature Match members with a “girl next door” approachability. The interest in these banners was overwhelming and click-through rates were higher than any previous Match.com banner which in turn peaked member registrations.
As an extension of the successful banner campaign, we developed a Myspace page where Match users could upload their own video “introductions” for potential dates to browse. The banners linked directly to the member’s profile. To launch the page, 20 videos were shot, edited and seeded which lead the way for a slew of user submitted videos.
